«TURA. Volume and light. Void and shadow»

Roca Barcelona Gallery's new exhibition

Roca Barcelona Gallery opens its new exhibition “TURA. Volume and light. Emptiness and shadow”. A tribute to the great Catalan architects of the 20th century such as Sert, Bonet or Coderch, which you can visit from Monday to Friday during normal Gallery hours.

The exhibition offers a journey through the concept, the design process, the inspiration and the origins of this new collection.

Andreu designs timeless objects with materials and sustainability as protagonists. Following his childhood dream of being an inventor, Andreu has his own design studio founded in 2006 and has turned it into one of the most versatile firms in Spain.

The constant exploration of materials, old-school techniques and contemporary processes characterizes the studio's projects that bring furniture, lighting, creative direction, interior design and much more to life.

As an example, we have arranged a selection of objects that bear Andreu's signature and a diagram of all the materials and techniques that have been used in each of them.

Rock and the creative process
Coderch himself quotes Louis Sullivan, one of the most influential architects of the late 19th century: "Behind every building you see there is a man you don't see." The exhibition, with clear overtones of homage to the Catalan architect and the Mediterranean architecture of the 20th century, also dedicates an important part to the human factor and the creative/productive process in which the entire Roca and Andreu Carulla team have taken part.

With images, real sketches and augmented reality glasses, the different areas of the exhibition explain in detail each of the steps, involvement, meetings, prototypes and tests that have been necessary to bring this collection to life.

We invite you to come to Roca Barcelona Gallery (C/Joan Güell 211-213) and enjoy this journey through design, from the concept and inspiration to the birth of the latest Roca bathroom collection.
